If you work or travel to a state in which we are licensed, we can work with you while you are present in that state.

  • WHAT IS A DISCOVERY CALL?

A discovery call is NOT a nutrition appointment. It is a scheduled call with Ashley where you can discuss what it would be like to work with one of the dietitians on our team, see if we are a good fit for you, and ask any questions you might have. If you decide to schedule a nutrition appointment you can do so at the end of the call. Visit our Book a Discovery Call page for more information.

  • WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

You will receive an invitation from Healthie to create a password for your patient portal. You will then be able to complete all of your intake paperwork right there online. We ask that you complete this prior to your first appointment. If your appointment is virtual, you can access the video chat through your patient portal as well as your appointment email reminder.

  • WHAT IS COVERED IN THE FIRST APPOINTMENT?

The first appointment is 90-120 minutes and a thorough health and nutrition assessment is conducted. Your dietitian will review your intake paperwork with you and ask lots of clarifying questions. Medical history, lab tests, medications/supplements, current diet, stress, sleep, physical activity, and lifestyle will all be discussed. Then together you and your dietitian will discuss a course of action, review relevant information, discuss testing options if applicable, set goals, and schedule a follow-up.

  • HOW OFTEN DO I MEET WITH MY DIETITIAN?

As often as you want! There are several factors that go into how often you will meet including the level of support and accountability you desire, whether you are following a specific program or protocol, if you are working on recovering from an eating disorder, and of course how many sessions you have covered by insurance or what your budget allows for if self-pay.

  • WILL I MEET WITH DIFFERENT DIETITIANS?

We hope not! We value the therapeutic alliance created between a dietitian and a client and believe the best outcomes are a result of a strong partnership. We also work hard to match you with the dietitian we think will fit you best. But there are factors that may require you to switch from one dietitian to another including scheduling conflicts, leave of absences, or conflicts in treatment approaches.
