Biometric Testing

Here at Clearcreek Nutrition & Wellness Co, we don’t guess, we test. Part of your nutrition assessment is determining the need for additional testing and identifying the one that would be best for you. Below are a few of the tests we offer and commonly use with our clients.

Oxford Biomedical Technologies

Mediator Release Test (MRT): The MRT is a food sensitivity test that measures the inflammatory response to food and food-chemicals. Specifically, the test measures the mediators released from white cells during a reaction. Identifying and eliminating food sensitivities has been shown to improve symptoms of IBS, IBD, migraine, fibromyalgia, fatigue, chronic pain, hives and/or eczema, autoimmune conditions, and more.

Genova Diagnostics

GI Effects® Comprehensive Stool Profile: This stool test measures GI function in relation to maldigestion, inflammation, dysbiosis, metabolite imbalance, and infection. This test provides scores in relation to those five areas to determine the type of support you may need. This test would be best for an individual experiencing some sort of gastrointestinal distress unrelated to food sensitivities.

NutrEval® FMV: This blood and urine test evaluates different biomarkers to determine your functional need for different micronutrients, including antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and more. Based on this test, we can recommend different nutrient needs. This test would be best for an individual that is worried about getting all the nutrients they need from their diet, and that may feel is lacking in particular micronutrients.

Helicobacter pylori Stool Antigen EIA: This stool test is used to diagnose, monitor, and confirm eradication of H. pylori infections. Those with an H. pylori infection may experience acute gastritis with abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting.

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO): SIBO is a 2-3 hour breath test which measures hydrogen and methane gases following the ingestion of a lactulose solution. Individuals with SIBO may experience a wide variety of symptoms including those associated with IBS, IBD, Celiac Disease, and many more.

Dutch Test

DUTCH Complete: An advanced hormone test that measures sex and adrenal hormones and their metabolites. It also measures free cortisol, melatonin, and six organic acids which can be used to determine the cause of infertility, sleep disturbances, and metabolism disturbances.

Cortisol Awakening Response: This test is a measure of your stress response and can be used in determining any adrenal imbalances. This test can be useful for individuals experiencing chronic fatigue, major depression, anxiety, or any other stressful conditions.

DUTCH Cycle Mapping™: Instead of measuring your reproductive hormones on one day, this allows us to measure them over the course of your cycle in order to get a better picture of your hormonal pattern. This can be useful to better understand your own body and hormones, but especially for those trying to get pregnant.
DUTCH Cycle Mapping™ PLUS: Similar to the DUTCH Cycle Mapping™ test in measuring estrogen and progesterone, but also measures all hormone metabolites and the cortisol awakening response (CAR). Similar to the DUTCH Cycle Mapping™, this test can be beneficial for individuals trying to better understand their hormonal patterns, and those trying to get pregnant.
